Hello all,
Welcome! :) You have arrived at "information central".
For a schedule of our upcoming liquidation/estate sales,
please scroll down to the
"Heritage House Estate Sale Schedule". Keep scrolling,
We promise it's down there....
ON A PERSONAL NOTE: Many thanks to all our
friends and loyal customers who have been asking if Bella
got accepted into UCLA--we just learned that she DID
get accepted! Bella says "thank you" for all the support you
gave her! She is very excited...
and, if we weren't excited enough, she learned that she was
also accepted to Berkeley! In the next few weeks Bella
will be visiting both campuses before making her decision...
She plans to be a psychologist. If you've got any feedback
for Bella about either of the campuses, send her an e-mail:

RENTAL CORNER:
By the way....do you know anyone who wants to rent one
or two bedrooms in a south Orcutt (Santa Maria) area home?
Most of you know our vivacious redhead employee and friend,
Leona--she is renting two of the rooms out of her house. The
rooms rent for $550 each. They are completely furnished,
including linens and blankets. Included in the rental are house
and garden privileges. In the kitchen there are: a stove,
oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. The lovely
fenced backyard has a covered patio and BBQ. Use of a
washer and dryer is also included. If interested, please
call Leona at: (805)937-7730.
Interested in leasing an office or retail space in the
heart of historic Old Orcutt? Our long-time antique and gift store--
the old "Heritage House" building--has recently come up for lease!
Our former tenants (produce brokers) loved the building but got the
opportunity for free rent so....
here we are!
The address is 255 Union in Old Orcutt, but it is on the
corner of Pacific and Union, just one block off West Clark
Avenue (turn on Pacific). We have pictures of our building
being moved down from Orcutt Hill around 1890. It is
made of hand-hewn redwood and was taken down from
the old oil town of Orcutt that was originally high up in the
hills. Our building was actually two buildings--one being
the original town library. The two buildings were placed
on their current location and joined to make the first Christian
church in Orcutt. Several churches occupied the building
for many, many years before it became W and W Hardware
Store in the late 1950's. The business was intact until it
was purchased by our family and converted into an
antique and gift store. We had many happy years there,
working together as a family!
This building would make a great office, spa, restaurant,
or retail establishment. It is around 3500 square feet. It
has two restrooms (one ADA).
The rent is $2,800 per month and there are no "triple net" fees.
We supply a gardener.
The building is also for sale, and is a good investment
based on the rental income from the back apartments
and storage spaces.

Thank you, loyal customers and clients, for voting us as the winner
of the
2008 "Best of Santa Maria Estate Sales" which was awarded by the
US Local Business Association. The award was given based upon client
and customer feedback. We really DO appreciate you, and we look
forward to continued service to our community!
Planning on having an estate, moving, or
business liquidation sale?
Please feel free to contact Carolyn on her cell phone at: (805)878-1978.
Get all the facts before you hire a liquidator. You can't choose one based
upon the rate of commission only! All services are NOT the same!
While Heritage House has the LOWEST COMMISSION POSSIBLE
(down to 10%), we offer many services and features that other services
usually do not.
For example:
...Heritage House carries a million dollar liability policy
to protect our clients and customers!
....Heritage House is bonded!
....Heritage House staff are protected by Workmen's Comp
....Heritage House uses MORE staff per sale than is
standard for our industry--this means more sales
and better protection of your property and contents.
.....Heritage House has appraisers on staff.
....Heritage House is the only local liquidator to utilize its
own website (and others) to advertise your sale with
BOTH descriptions and pictures of the items for sale!
.....Heritage House has unparalleled experience;we are
the oldest liquidation company on the Central Coast!
Put that experience to work for you!

ABOUT MAKING OFFERS/BIDS AT
OUR ESTATE SALES
OR
BUSINESS LIQUIDATION SALES: Offers can be made to staff during the
sale on Saturday. After the sale, offers can be made on Saturday either by phone
(937-3855) or e-mail at: heritagehouse@thegrid.net We ask that you carefully
consider before making a bid; we consider a bid to be a firm offer. Click on the
blue e-mail address to contact us. You can make two kinds of bids:
(1) you can make a fixed bid of a certain amount;
or (2) you can make an eBay-style bid in which you make a bid "range".
In other words, you might make a bid of AT LEAST a certain amount
and AT MOST a certain amount. Carolyn will advance your bid in
$5 increments based upon other people's bids. If no one else makes a bid,
the item will be won by you at the LOWEST amount of your bid. We are
normally looking at bids for OVER HALF. We normally do not accept bids
on items under $20. However, it is our intention is to completely clear out the premises.
So don't be shy; we don't offend easily! :) Be aware, though, that our clients may give us
differing instructions from sale to sale. Feel free to talk to staff about making an offer--we are
here to assist you!

*****HERITAGE HOUSE ESTATE SALE SCHEDULE*****
*Please note that we can do more than one sale per weekend!
*Recent POLICY CHANGE allows us to pre-sell certain advertised items before
the sale--particularly vehicles and appliances. If you see an appliance or vehicle advertised AND a price is
quoted, this may mean that the item is available for sale at the listed price before the sale. If you wish to
make an offer below the asking price, please visit the sale during the listed hours. Why are we doing this?
Folks that need a vehicle or appliance right away will not always wait until the sale. They will go elsewhere to
buy. Further, our clients prefer a guaranteed full-price sale to the option of waiting for the estate sale and
hoping that the item does not go for 1/2 off. How will you know? We will clearly post the status on our
webpage and, if the item sells before the sale, we will remove it from our webpage.
